Corey Rasmussen

Corey Rasmussen

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Rehab Director

Corey was born in Twin Falls and grew up in Burley. He moved to Pocatello in 1997 to attend ISU, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology and went on to receive his doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2006. He has been exceptionally interested in working with athletes since his experience with past injuries which required physical therapy in order to maintain an active lifestyle.

In addition to his experience with athletics, he’s also become very passionate about treatment of spinal conditions. He has achieved many of his professional goals. Corey is certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, a certified find manual therapist, a imPACT trained physical therapist, and a board-certified orthopedic specialist, all prestigious certifications in the field of physical therapy.

Corey and his lovely wife Shawnee have five beautiful children: Lily, Isabel, Claire, Colter and Maxx . WhenCorey is not in the clinic treating patients, he is likely participating in an athletic activities such as basketball, golf, or weight training, or spending time with his family while enjoying an outdoor activity like camping, skiing, fishing, or hunting.

Scott Harris

Scott was born in Great Falls, MT.  He attended BYU-Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science.  He then moved to Pocatello, where he took classes at Idaho State University to prepare for entrance into graduate school.  He and his wife later relocated to Henderson, NV where he received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Touro University Nevada.   Scott has since continued his educationand received the MDT Certification from The McKenzie Institute® USA Center for Postgraduate Study in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®.  MDT is an evidence-based patient management system proven to eliminate back, neck and extremity painin fewer visits compared to traditional treatment.  The key distinction is its initial assessment component, a safe and reliable means to accurately reach a diagnosis that will guide an appropriate treatment plan, rarely requiring expensive tests/images. Scott also has more recently taken the opportunity to participate in continued education related to chronic pain states and the neuroscience of pain. 

Scott was introduced to physical therapy while recovering from a knee injury acquired while playing football in high school.  Physical therapy helped him to regain his strength and agility quickly, which allowed him the ability to participate in the upcoming basketball season.  Because of this and other experiences, he became interested in the human body and specifically how exercise and activity can improve one’s health, expedite the injury recovery process, and improve one’s overall quality of life. 

Scott loves spending time with his beautiful family.  When Scott is not in clinic, he enjoys basketball, football, weight training, music, and the outdoors. 

Melissa Merrill Arrington

Melissa was born in Ogden, Utah and grew up in Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. She graduated in 2000 from BYU-ID with an Associates in Education, graduated in 2003 from BYU-Provo with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training including internships with the BYU Football team, BYU women’s volleyball team, BYU track team, and BYU women’s tennis team. After school, she moved to Boise, Idaho to work with St. Lukes Idaho Elks Rehabilitation as an athletic trainer for their physical therapy clinics and community outreach events such as soccer tournaments, community football, and bike races. She was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer at Nampa High School 2004-2007 and taught the Sports Medicine and Health Professions class.

Melissa met her husband in Boise, Idaho at Bogus Basin Ski Resort. They moved to Driggs, Idaho to ski and run and work in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She worked at Teton Orthopedics for two seasons as an athletic trainer and at Grand Targhee Resort as the Snowboard Supervisor. After multiple conversations with other physical therapists, doctors, and local health professionals, Melissa was encouraged to return to school and get her physical therapy degree. She, her husband, and two fur-babies moved to Pocatello in 2010 to attend ISU, where she received her doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2014.

Melissa is passionate about working with endurance athletes. She is a trail runner, track runner, triathlete, road biker, mountain biker, and rock climber. In the wintertime, she and her husband are on ski patrol at Pebble Creek Ski Area and occasionally teach ski and snowboard lessons between backcountry adventures with their dogs. Melissa has been to multiple orthopedic and sport specialty conferences for continuing education involving chronic injuries that multisport athletes often experience. She can perform specialized running analysis videos and custom an athlete’s rehabilitation based on proper movement biomechanics to address and avoid injury. Melissa also did a rotation in South Africa at the Groote Schuur Hospital in traumatic orthopedics, so whether it is a simple overuse injury or a complicated orthopedic issue, know you will be in good hands.

Melissa loves spending time with her husband Tim and their two Labradors, Dexter and Jake. When Melissa is not in the clinic, she enjoys trail running, mountain biking, camping, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and gardening. Melissa is also passionate about community involvement and participation in the Pocatello Running Club and Pebble Creek Ski Patrol.

Ryan Etsus

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Ryan was born in Stillwater Oklahoma and has lived throughout the mid-west. Ryan moved to Pocatello from Springfield Missouri. Ryan attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar Missouri where he played collegiate soccer and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2017. Ryan was then accepted into Southwest Baptist University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and graduated in May 2020. He is committed to being a lifelong learner so he can always give his patients the highest standard of care.

Ryan is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running, biking, soccer, fishing, backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, weightlifting and most things under the sun. He is passionate about life and just as passionate about getting you back to yours.

Ryan loves spending time with his wife Michelle. If they are not working you will most likely see them out in nature somewhere or petting a dog. If you know of any good trails or activities feel free to pass them along to Ryan so you can help fuel his and his wife’s future adventures.

Chandra Price

Physical Therapist Assistant, Director of HR and Communications

Chandra grew up in Emmett, Idaho where she attended high school and enjoyed growing up in a small town. Chandra attended Washington State University before transferring to Idaho State University to complete her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. During this time, she worked hard to also obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration. Chandra graduated at the top of her class and received ISU College of Technology’s top honor, the Outstanding Student Achievement Award.

Although Chandra never experienced Physical Therapy as a young person, the human body and its function has always fascinated her. She enjoys applying her knowledge and skill to patients to help them regain function and improve their lives.

When she is not in the clinic, Chandra enjoys spending time with her husband Dustin and other family members. Chandra finds pleasure cooking and crafting in their home, and enjoys applying her knowledge of exercise physiology to work on her own personal fitness goals. She also enjoys riding her horses, hunting, hiking, golfing, playing softball, and a multitude of other outdoor activities.

Jake Munns

Physical Therapist Assistant

Jake was born and raised in Rexburg, ID, where he grew up on his family’s dairy farm. Growing up in a large family, Jake is one of six children, with one older sister, two older brothers, and two younger brothers. Jake attended and graduated from Madison High School where he participated in football and baseball, his two favorite sports. After high school Jake attended BYU-Idaho, completing an associates degree before transferring to ISU where he would then complete the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2016. Jake decided to stay in Pocatello to begin his career as a PTA and is now excited to continue his career with us here at PTSI. Jake plans to continue his education and pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in the future.

 Jake’s love of sports is what sparked his interest for the field of physical therapy. Being a competitive athlete, he experienced his share of injuries and time in the physical therapy clinic. Jake decided to pursue a career in physical therapy so that he could learn to take care of his own body if an injury were to happen, as well as help others return to their previous lifestyles after an injury or surgery.

While not in the clinic, Jake enjoys spending time with his family and friends. With having multiple siblings, Jake also gets to spend time with 4 nieces and 3 nephews. He loves being outside participating in sports such as baseball and softball. Jake also enjoys attending sporting events, shooting guns, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Dustin Wheatley

Dustin is originally from Downey, Idaho. He attended Idaho State University where he graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2019, and is currently working on his Bachelor degree in Health Science.

While Dustin never experienced physical therapy himself, since a young age, he has been interested in the human body and the role that exercise plays in healing the body and improving health. He finds joy helping people improve their lives and return to the things that they enjoy doing. He also enjoys using the knowledge he has obtained in this field to help improve his own health and avoid injury.

Dustin enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Kylee and their two children, Bentley and Renner. When not in the clinic he enjoys most outdoor activities, especially riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, camping, and water skiing.
